I will send out an invite later today. Today’s Specials is PE. Our Zoom meetings will be tomorrow. Offline Assignments: Phonics: Use the Poetry Poster
Create flashcards using paper or index cards for the following words: fix, buzz, zip, net. Then practice blending these words. (Use arm strategy taught in class as needed.) Practice reading the weekly phonic reader. Click on the click below and sign in to clever for direct access to the book. https://bubba-production.benchmarkuniverse.com/clever/cobb/X05177 (I have attached printable phonics word flashcards for those with access to a printer)
Sight words: Using the following sight words: three, show, because, count. Practice the words using the Air-Writing technique today. The first step of air-writing a word is to say the word while “underlining” it, using two fingers of your right hand to trace the arrow that runs from left to right underneath the word on each flash card. Then spell the word out loud, using two fingers of your writing hand to “air-write” each letter as you say it. You will air-write the letters underneath the printed word on the flash card, but do not actually touch the flash card. After air-writing the word, say the whole word one more time, again tracing the arrow to “underline” the word from left to right. Here is a sample script for you to follow: Adult: Let’s air-write this word. I’ll go first. Ready? FIRST. F-I-R-S-T. FIRST. Again: FIRST. F-I-R-ST. FIRST. Now it’s your turn. Child: FIRST. F-I-R-S-T. FIRST. Adult: Again. Child: FIRST. F-I-R-S-T. FIRST. Adult: One more time. Child: FIRST. F-I-R-S-T. FIRST. Adult: Good job! (I have attached printable sight word flashcards for those with access to a printer)

Assignments have been added to SeeSaw and Zearn. Log on to Learning A to Z to complete at least 2 Head Sprout lessons. (Please be sure to complete the episodes once started. If the student exits and episode and it is not completed, it will start the student over from the beginning to next time you log on.) Continue working on assignments in Freckle and MobyMax. Have a great day of learning. And I am an email, text or phone call away, if you need me. Listo? PRIMERO. PRIMERO. PRIMERO. De nuevo: PRIMERO. PRIMERO. PRIMERO. Ahora es tu turno. Niño: PRIMERO. PRIMERO. PRIMERO. Adulto: otra vez. Niño: PRIMERO. PRIMERO. PRIMERO. Adulto: una vez más. Niño: PRIMERO. PRIMERO. PRIMERO. Adulto: ¡Buen trabajo!
